Wasly vs Honeydue: a couples app, or a household plan?
Honeydue describes itself as the simplest way for couples to manage money together, and its features match that: bill tracking, shared budgeting, visibility into account balances, in-app chat, expense splitting, and a choice of what each person shares. It has iOS and Android apps. Wasly overlaps on shared budgets and bills, then goes somewhere different.
What Honeydue does well
Honeydue is a good fit when two people want to choose what they share, and when they want to talk about a charge right where they see it. Splitting expenses is also part of the pitch. Wasly has no chat between members and no expense splitting. Honeydue also has real mobile apps, while Wasly works in the browser on your phone, tablet, or computer, with a native app still to come.
What Wasly does differently
Wasly treats the household as one plan with several people in it. Everyone in the household works from the same records, and each member has a role (admin, member, dependent, or viewer) that decides what they can see and change. Each member can use Wasly in English or Spanish, and Ask Wasly replies in that member's language.
Beyond the budget, Wasly tracks goals with a target date and tells you whether you are on pace, keeps an emergency fund figure in months of coverage, and handles the less glamorous parts of a home: maintenance schedules, renewals, and the documents that go with them. A new bill or a larger purchase shows up in the plan, and Ask Wasly can tell you what it would change.
Money you enter, money you connect
Honeydue shows account balances, which means it connects to your accounts. Wasly does not connect to your bank. You enter the bills and amounts you plan around. If seeing live balances is the reason you want an app, that settles it in Honeydue's favor. If you would rather plan than watch, read why some people prefer an app without bank linking.
Pricing is the other thing to compare, and we have not listed Honeydue's here because it can change. Check their site, then try the Wasly demo with a sample household and see which one matches how the two of you actually talk about money.
Prices and features of other products were checked on their own sites in October 2026. They change, so check before you decide.
